January 2013 BirchBox Unboxing

I just got my first BirchBox!!

Watch my YouTube video of my unboxing and don't forget to subscribe!

My initial thoughts on BirchBox is that I like GlamBag from Ipsy a little bit more.  I feel like you get more for your $10/mo subscription price.  I am going to stay subscribed for a few more months at least and then kind of decide.

CLICK HERE for my blog post and video of my GlamBag Unbagging.

With BirchBox when you want to sign up you have to wait for an invitation which can take 3-4 weeks where as with GlamBag you can just sign up right away with no wait time.

Just like the name would hint it comes in a box and mine was delivered by USPS in the United States.

And this is how it looked when I opened the box.

I'm just going to list all the products I got and the description of each from the card that came with the BirchBox.

Caudalie Vinespert Day Cream SPF 15 Full Size $75
A lightweight daily moisturizer with a patented grape-derived compound to reverse skin damage, plus weightless SPF.

Juicy Couture Viva La Juicy Full Size $25-$90  (I love how this smells! I will probably get this!)
Juicy's charming scent will bring out your inner girly girl.  Wild berries flirt with mandarin and soft floral notes for a fragrance that's fun and happy.

ModelCo Shine Ultra Lip Gloss in Show Girl Red Full Size $16 (this is more of a sheer gloss which I like)
This Australian brand's winning gloss coats lips with subtle color. Plus, the built-in mirror allows for easy on-the-go application.

Number 4 Clarifying Shampoo Full Size $25
Gentle enough for everyday use, this cleanser has a low-suds formula that removes buildup without stripping hair of essential oils.

100% Pure Nourishing Body Cream Full Size $15
This skin-friendly moisturizer is made exclusively from 100 percent vegan, organic ingredients.  Not that needed an excuse to slather it on.

Vlog 1-21-2013: IT'S FREAKING COLD OUT!

Here is my Vlog for 1-21-2013.
It was just a regular day off for me and it was freezing cold out!  It was at -6 F without wind chill accounted for!  So when it's this cold out we need to make sure our cars start and drive them around a little to get the engine warmed up so I just went to Target.  I hope you enjoy!  Also let me know if you want reviews on any of the products I got.

First Impressions: L'oreal Colour Caress

So I got two of the new L'oreal Colour Caress Lip Gloss/Stains in the colors Rose On and On and Lilac Ever After.

To watch my First Impressions watch my YouTube video below and don't forget to SUBSCRIBE! :)

So I got my lip stains at Target for $7.99 each and I must say I really enjoy them.  As you can see in my video they don't last 6 hours like they claim too but, my lips do feel really soft and moisturized. The texture when you first apply them is very watery, feels kind of like a liquid lip stick.  As it dries it feels very balmy and looks extremely glossy.  I really love them!  The color pay off is really great.  I also think if you are not a lips stick person like myself you will really like these.

I think the packaging is really nice although it can get confusing as to which side is up as you see can in my video.  The product itself does seem to have a perfumey smell and I did detect it a little bit when I first applied it.   Once "dry" it does have a really nice texture to it.  I do like the applicator because it really makes it easy to apply the product quickly without an issues. Overall I would definitely recommend this and I will likely be buying some more myself.

Swatches:

Rose On and On is on top and Lilac Ever After is on the bottom.

GlamBag Unbagging: January 2013

I just got my first Glam Bag and I'm super excited!  I really like everything I got this month and will definitely keep subscribed!  I will do more unbaggings in the future!

First off, if you haven't heard of Glam Bag before basically it is a monthly subscription service of beauty products that get mailed to you.  The cost is $10/mo but for what you get in return is well worth it!  You can subscribe at Ipsy.com

Ipsy is a company that was started by fellow YouTuber Michelle Phan whom I'm sure you have heard of.  There are some other YouTubers that are also involved.

Watch my video unbagging and don't forget to subscribe to my channel! :)

It comes in this snazzy padded envelope via USPS in the United States.

Each month in addition to the beauty products you get a "Glam Bag"

Next are pictures of all the products I got.

Thanks guys for watching and reading!
